13-year-old injured in Woonsocket shootout
WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Woonsocket Police Department said two people were injured during a shootout Saturday afternoon, including a 13-year-old boy.
Police said the shooting happened around 2:30 p.m., on Cumberland Street near St. Anne’s Church.
Nearly 20 rounds were fired between two people, according to police.
Authorities said one of the shooters was shot in the leg and brought to a nearby hospital in police custody.
During the incident, a 13-year-old passenger in a car driving by was grazed by a stray bullet.
Officials said he was treated for minor injuries.
Police said they are still looking for the second suspect.
