16 arrested after stolen goods investigation in Cranston

A joint investigation by Cranston and state police has led to the arrest of 16 people in a stolen goods fencing operation in Cranston.

Cranston Police say 14 adults and 2 juveniles were arrested on a variety of charges after the two month long investigation.

During the investigation, police learned that the Cranston Gold and More Pawn Shop on Park Avenue was being used to facilitate the purchase and sale of stolen merchandise.

Anyone able to identify the items as their property should contact the Cranston Police investigative hotline at 401-477-5056.  Anyone claiming ownership of any of the items should be prepared to provide receipts or other forms of ownership, as well as a police report documenting the original theft.
