17-year-old arrested in connection to Revere Beach shootings

REVERE, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police said a 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection to two non-fatal shootings at Revere Beach.

According to police, they got an arrest warrant charging the teen with firearm possession offenses, including carrying a firearm without a license and possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number.

Officials said the boy surrendered at Boston Municipal Court and was arraigned and held pending a dangerousness hearing.

Police said no charges have been filed for the shooting, where a 51-year-old woman was shot in her legs. Another 17-year-old boy was also grazed by a bullet.

The incident remains under investigation by state police.
