18 new monkeypox cases confirmed in Massachusetts

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Health officials reported an additional 18 cases of monkeypox in Massachusetts within the last week.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health made the announcement Thursday.
Bringing the now total number to 49 residents. Massachusetts first case of Monkeypox was announced on May 18.
DPH said they’re working with local health officials, patients, and healthcare providers to find anyone who’s been in contact with those infected. Individuals who suspect to have monkeypox are advised to isolate themselves.
