18-year-old accused of stabbing 3 teenagers in Middleborough arraigned

MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — A teen who was arrested in connection to a triple stabbing that injured three other teens appeared in court on Monday.

18-year-old Jayden Wainwright was charged with attempted murder and three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Chief Joseph Perkins said police responded to a call shortly after midnight reporting multiple people having been stabbed in the area of Wall Street near power lines.

Responding officers found two 19-year-old men suffering from stab wounds at the scene. One was transported to Boston Medical Center in critical condition while the other was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford.

A third victim, a 15-year-old, was taken to Tobey Hospital by a private citizen, Perkins said.

Wainwright, who is 18-years-old, was taken into custody after an investigation by the department.
