18-year-old stabbed in the chest in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. – A man has been arrested by Pawtucket Police for stabbing an 18-year-old in the chest.
Authorities say Tuesday afternoon, officers arrived to the area of Montgomery St and Exchange St, where upon arrival officers found an 18-year-old male with a single stab wound to the chest.
The unidentified male was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for life-threatening injuries.
Police say after gathering information they were able to arrest 21-year-old Jumel Dwyer, of West Warwick.
According to Pawtucket Police Dwyer was involved in a physical altercation with an ex-girlfriend, and this incident led to the stabbing of the 18-year-old victim.
Dwyer faces multiple charges, including: domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct, in regards to his ex-girlfriend, as well as felony assault for the stabbing.
