PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) — After a long wait due to technical issues before Monday night’s record Powerball drawing, the winning numbers have finally been drawn.

The winning numbers are 10-33-41-47-56 with a Powerball number of 10. The final jackpot ended up closing at $2.04 billion, the biggest jackpot ever.

Monday night’s Powerball drawing was delayed due to technical issues, according to Powerball officials.

The California Lottery took to Twitter with this statement Monday night, tweeting in part: “Tonight’s Powerball® drawing has been delayed due to a participating lottery needing extra time to complete the required security protocols.”

”Powerball has strict security requirements that must be met by all 48 lotteries before a drawing can occur,” added the lottery.

When the protocols are complete, the lottery said that “the drawing will be performed under the supervision of lottery security officials and independent auditors.”
