2 Connecticut men arrested after guns seized during traffic stop in Lincoln

LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE) — Two Connecticut men were arrested Tuesday night after three guns were seized during a traffic stop on the highway in Lincoln.

Rhode Island State Police said they stopped a car just after 11:30 p.m. on Route 146 north.

During a search of the car, troopers found a loaded gun, hatchet and stun gun in a backpack where the front seat passenger was.

That passenger was identified as Jacob Robert, 21, of Woodstock.

Two other loaded guns, including a ghost gun, were found in another backpack where the rear seat passenger was.

That passenger was identified as Kaleb O’Connell, 22, of Dayville.

Robert was charged with license required for carrying a pistol and two counts of weapons other than firearms. He was also wanted on an affidavit and arrest warrant from the Scituate Police Department for eluding.

O’Connell has been charged with manufacture, sell, purchase, or possession of a ghost or 3D gun, and two counts of license required for carrying a pistol.
