2 in custody after Woonsocket stabbing

Woonsocket Police have arrested two suspects in connection to a stabbing that happened Friday afternoon.

32-year-old Roberto Carrasquillo, and his girlfriend, 27-year-old Yaidelis Vega, both of Woonsocket, were arrested on felony assault charges after stabbing one victim and attempting to stab two others during an altercation.

Police received reports of the incident around 1:40 p.m. and responded to the scene at the intersection of Bourdon Boulevard and Memorial Drive.

The victim, whose name is not being released, suffered stab wounds to his chest and hand. The injuries are non-life-threatening.
