2 In Police Custody After Early-Morning Shooting in Cranston

Two men are under arrest after shooting in Cranston early Saturday morning.

Cranston Police report that the two fired six shots into a pickup truck driven by a 26 year-old Cranston man at about 445am at the intersection of Cranston Street and Dyer Avenue.  The intended victim was not hurt.

The two suspects, a 25 year-old East Providence man and a 26 year-old Providence man, fled in a vehicle which they abandoned near Silver Lake Avenue in Providence.  They were both arrested after ditching the vehicle.

Providence Police, Cranston Police and units of the RI State Police are at the two sites and are continuing to investigate.
