2 men arrested after crashing their car attempting to flee police

SOMERSET, MASS (WLNE) – Two Fall River men were arrested over the weekend after leading police on a chase, and crashing their car.

Police tried to make a traffic stop on the Veteran’s Memorial Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

When an officer walked up to the SUV, he noticed one of the men inside the vehicle had a gun, and the suspect quickly took off.

Witnesses took a video of the chase and caught the SUV doing a 360 before coming to a stop in the middle of the road.

The suspects made an attempt to flee on foot but were apprehended by police.

33-year-old Kevin Ploude and 36-year-old Scott Hazel were both arrested.

Ploude was arraigned on Monday, and Hazel will be arraigned at a later date.
