2 men arrested after police seize over 5,500 grams of cocaine, guns, cash

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Two Fall River men were arrested after police seized over 5,500 grams of cocaine, two illegal guns, and over $28,000 in cash.
Daniel Ferrer, 60, and Santos Amezquita , 73, were arrested after search warrants were executed at three different Fall River addresses, according to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn.
One search warrant was executed on Oxford Street and the other two were executed on High Street.
At these locations, investigators seized about 5,635 grams of suspected cocaine, two pistols, multiple boxes of ammunition, and over $28,090 in cash.
Both Ferrer and Amezquita were charged with the following:
- Trafficking in cocaine
- Possession of an illegal firearm in commission of a felony
- Improper storage of a firearm
- Unlawful possession of ammunition and conspiracy
The men were arraigned Tuesday in Fall River District Court and were scheduled to be held for a dangerousness hearing on Feb. 6. Quinn said they are being held without bail pending the outcome of the dangerousness hearing.
