WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Two people charged in a crash that killed an East Greenwich teen plead not guilty in court Friday.

The pair was charged with multiple felonies in a hit-and-run crash that killed 17-year-old Olivia Passaretti on New Year’s Day.

Aramis Segura, 30, plead not guilty to the charges of driving to endanger, death resulting, and leaving the scene of an accident, death resulting.

In court Friday, the state filed a habitual notice, which brings exposure up to 50 years. Segura’s bail was set at $250,000.

During a court hearing in January, Segura admitted to driving his car on New Year’s Day after drinking three beers and smoking marijuana.

His girlfriend, 25-year-old Alicia Peckham, also plead not guilty to the charges of leaving the scene of an accident, death resulting and harboring a criminal.

Her bail was set at $20,000.

Peckham allegedly picked him up in East Greenwich, after he borrowed someone’s phone and called her.
