PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office said Tuesday two Providence men were sentenced to life in prison for a 2018 murder.

Attorney General Peter Neronha said 33-year-old Chandanoeuth Hay and 24-year-old Jaythan Hang were each sentenced Monday to consecutive life sentences at the Adult Correctional Institutions.

Neronha said Hay was also found to be a “habitual criminal” and sentenced to a consecutive 10-year sentence at the ACI.

During the early morning of June 26, 2018, 57-year-old David Page drove to a home on Lowell Avenue to pick up two passengers, according to Neronha.

Hang and Hay pulled alongside in a stolen black Audi and fired at least nine shots, before driving away.

Page was killed instantly, and the two passengers were not hit by any bullets, Neronha said.

Investigators determined the two suspects were affiliated with a local gang, known to law enforcement, and conspired to find rival gang members prior to killing Page.
