2 ripped from their home after early morning fire in Providence
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Two people were forced out of their home after a fire in Providence early Wednesday morning.
An ABC 6 News crew saw firefighters surround the home on Slater Avenue at about 4 a.m.
Fire officials said the fire started in the basement and extended to the first floor through the walls.
The fire was knocked down in about an hour. The house sustained water damage.
The Red Cross is assisting the two people who were displaced.
There were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
