2010 Floods: Warnings, Evacuations in Cranston

Residents in the Perkins Avenue area of Cranston are no stranger to flooding – the area near the Pawtuxet River deals with it all too often. But evacuations and warnings from city leaders were new territory.
As the water levels rose, so did the level of concern, when it came to the safety of Cranston residents.
Firefighters urged evacuations, as the city awaited the worst of the flooding, and the highest river levels in a long time.
ABC6 Reporter Malini Basu talked to those ready to evacuate, in this report on March 29th, 2010.
