2010 Floods: Westerly Roads Become Rivers

While most of the initial coverage of the floods focused on Warwick and Cranston, the town of Westerly was also severely hit by the rising waters. In fact, few areas of the state were spared from damage.

In Westerly, neighborhoods were underwater, and one in was basically made into an island, after the Chapman Pond overflowed. The only way in or out was by boat.

ABC6 Reporter Tom Langford talked to residents of that neighborhood, about the new form of transportation they'd been forced to turn to, on April 5th, 2010.
