WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE) — The largest charity fundraiser in the Rhode Island-Connecticut region is coming back for its 23rd year in two weeks.

Officials will release 20,000 rubber ducks off the Westerly-Pawcatuck Bridge at the annual Pawcatuck River Duck Race on Saturday, April 29.

Festivities will kick off at 11:30 a.m. at Donahue Park in Pawcatuck.

There will be an initial corporate race at 1 p.m. and the main race will begin at 1:30 p.m.

The grand prize winner will get a trip for a family of four, two adults and two children, at Walt Disney World including airfare, hotel, and park passes, or $2,500 cash.

There are over 90 more prizes for winning ducks, including tickets to popular local attractions and gift cards to restaurants and stores.

Ducks can be sponsored for $5 at the Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce.
