22-year-old from Johnston facing 5 child molestation charges

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Providence Grand Jury returned an indictment charging a 22-year-old man from Johnston with four counts of child molestation.

According to the indictment from August 25, Dezmond Choquette, 22, is facing two counts of first-degree child molestation and three counts of second-degree child molestation.

The alleged acts happened in the city of Johnston between June 25, 2015 and January 24, 2023.

The Johnston Police Department conducted the investigation.

Choquette is scheduled to be arraigned on September 20, in Providence County Superior Court.
