22-year-old indicted on sexual assault charges

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — The Statewide Grand Jury returned a secret indictment charging a 22-year-old Yonkers resident with first degree sexual assault.

According to court records, 22-year-old Julian John was charged with one count of first degree sexual assault.

Documents further state the alleged actions occurred in Newport sometime on December fifth of last year.

The secret indictment was unsealed on March seventh and John was arraigned in Newport County Superior Court.

John’s pretrial conference is scheduled for May 12.
