Update: Suspect arrested, charged with murder in Fall River shooting

FALL RIVER, M.A. (WLNE) –  A suspect has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to a shooting in Fall River Wednesday morning

Rayquan Robinson, 23, of Fall River, has been charged with murder, attempted assault and battery by means of a firearm, carrying an illegal firearm and carrying a load​ed illegal firearm, according to a statement from Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn III.

Robinson is being held in jail overnight and expected to be arraigned by videoconferencing at the Fall River District Court Thursday.

The victim was identified earlier Wednesday evening as Jake Williams of Fall River.

Around 11:25 a.m., Fall River Police responded to 911 calls regarding a shooting in the area of Mott Street and Warren Street.

Upon arrival, first responders located Williams and rushed him to St. Anne’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
