3 arrested in drug raid in Norton

NORTON, MASS (WLNE) – Norton police arrested three people following a drug raid on Wednesday night.

Police say a search warrant was served at The Extended Stay America on South Washington Street at approximately 8:00 PM.

According to the department, approximately 24 grams of Cocaine, 14 Grams of Heroin/Fentanyl, $330.00 dollars cash, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia were seized.

Police arrested 56-year old Michael Demers and charged him with Trafficking of a Class A Substance Heroin/Fentanyl, and Trafficking of Class B Substance/Crack Cocaine.

Demers is homeless.

Police also arrested 30-year-old Middleboro resident Leann Souza, on Possession of a Class B Substance/Adderall and 42-year-old Taunton resident Nicole Medeiros, on warrants out of Taunton District Court for motor vehicle and drug-related charges.
