Amore, Cortellessa to face off for secretary of state seat in November

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — State Rep. Gregg Amore beat Stephanie Beauté in the Democratic primary for Rhode Island secretary of state.

Amore will officially face off against Republican nominee Pat Cortellessa, who’s unopposed, in November’s general election.

Incumbent Nellie Gorbea will be looking to tally up votes in her race for governor.
