WARWICK, R.I. (AP) _ Three kayakers have been rescued in waters near a Rhode Island lighthouse, after winds flipped their kayaks over and dumped them into the chilly water.

They were among a group of six people Sunday morning near Conimicut Light in Warwick.

Officials say the group was fishing when the wind kicked up and flipped three of the kayaks.

A team working from a Warwick Fire Department rescue boat got them out of the water.

No one was injured. The other three kayakers made it back to shore on their own.
