3 men accused of driving drunk in South Kingstown

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — South Kingstown police said Saturday they arrested three men accused of drunk driving.

Police said they arrested Matthew Lebelle, 64, at just after 5 p.m. Friday on Route 1 north.

Three hours later, Nicholas Westcott, 39, was stopped on Route 138 at Upper College Road after he was allegedly seen swerving and unable to keep his car in the travel lane, crossing over double yellow lanes multiple times.

At 9 p.m., police said they responded to a three-car crash on Route 1, south of Salt Pond Road.

Kenneth Bager, 44, was arrested for driving drunk, police said.

No injuries were reported in that crash.

All three men were charged with driving under the influence of liquor or drugs and refusal to submit to a breath or chemical test.
