3-year-old boy drowns, Warwick police investigating

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Warwick Police Department announced they’re investigating after a 3-year-old died after drowning.

According to police, at 11:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to Gorham Avenue for a report of a 3-year-old possibly drowning.

Warwick firefighters also arrived to the scene and attempted to resuscitate the boy.

He was taken to Hasbro Children’s Hospital and pronounced dead at 12:42 p.m.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
