30 additional monkeypox cases found in Massachusetts

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Public Health announced Thursday that 30 additional cases of monkey pox were found.

Health officials say all 30 additional cases were found in adult males.

The total number of cases of monkeypox is now 79 in the Commonwealth.

The total number of cases in the United States is 2,323, according to the CDC.

DPH said that the JYNNEOS vaccine is ‘severely limited’ at this time.

The first case of monkeypox in Massachusetts was found on May 18.
