Hundreds of swimmers and kayakers invaded Narragansett Bay on Saturday morning. It was all part of the 39th annual ‘Save The Bay’ Swim.

The non–profit organization aims to protect and improve Narragansett Bay and its watershed. The annual swim raises money and awareness, and attracts folks of all backgrounds.

“It's very important to us to keep this bay clean and safe for my grandson, who's also here today,” said Barbara Kiltz of Scituate.

Kiltz has cancer and other illnesses, but that doesn't stop her from taking part in the swim year after year.

ABC6 Meteorologist Chelsea Priest was among those who finished the swim was. This was Chelsea’s second year participating.
