4 arrested on armed robbery charges in Dartmouth

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) – Four people have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Dartmouth hotel.

 Dartmouth Police responded to the Residence Inn on Faunce Corner Road around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday and located a female victim who told officers she was assaulted and robbed by four suspects.

The victim said two female suspects entered her room at the hotel and assaulted her while two male suspects ransacked the room and made off with $7800 cash and a Rolex watch valued at $14,500.

The victim was able to identify one of the female suspects for police, who then were able to identify the other suspects and broadcast a description of the vehicle they fled in.

Westport Police later stopped the suspect vehicle and referred the suspects to Dartmouth Police.

The four suspects, identified as Jadelynn Gibbons, 24, Shantel Medeiros, 22, Hakeem Lopes, 25, and Manny Andrews, 25, all of New Bedford, were arrested and each charged with the following offenses.

  • Armed Robbery
  • Assault and Battery
  • Larceny over $1,200
  • Conspiracy

Police said the victim was not seriously injured, and the investigation is still underway.
