ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — The Federal Emergency Management Agency will begin damage assessment in Attleboro today.

Last month, FEMA approved Bristol county’s request for a disaster declaration based on the amount of damage incurred after several inches of rain fell back on Sept. 11 in 2023.

The FEMA disaster survivor team will go door-to-door canvassing starting at 7 a.m.

Team members will be wearing shorts with the FEMA logo, and will be carrying their federal government identifications.

If residents have questions about the process or want to confirm that they have spoken with the team, they can contact the police chief via email at chieflachance@cityofattleboro.us, or by phone at 774-203-1997.
