Falmouth man arrested after allegedly breaking into Lakeville business

LAKEVILLE, Mass. (WLNE) — The Lakeville Police Department said a Falmouth man was arrested after he allegedly broke into a business on Dec. 7.

40-year-old Kevin Lord was charged with breaking and entering a building during the nighttime with intent to commit a felony and malicious destruction of property over $1,200.

Police responded to a hardware store on Bedford Street around 11:30 p.m. to discover the building had been broken into.

At the scene, police observed an unoccupied running vehicle behind the business, as well as $3,000 worth of power tools on the ground.

Later on, police said officers conducted an investigatory stop on a rideshare vehicle and identified Lord, who was the passenger, as the break-in suspect.

He was arrested without incident.

Lord was arraigned in Wareham District Court Monday.
