Here in Rhode Island, the average price of regular has fallen ten cents in the past two weeks,  to 3.58 per gallon. In Massachusetts, gas is about 3.47 per gallon.  The drop is even steeper nationally, down 50 cents per gallon. Many drivers welcome the new prices. Doyle Oliver is a veteran on a fixed income. He says if he can save any amount of money it's helpful. Officials from Triple A say the weather has been a factor. Lloyd Albert of Triple A says refineries have been able to stabilize their operations after Hurricane Sandy. He also says we will continue to see a decline in gas prices.
