A fine finish to the weekend Sunday
High pressure is moving on in to Southern New England tonight. The result will be decreasing clouds and light winds. As a result of these factors, temperatures will be allowed to drop off to 60 downtown and the 50s in the suburbs. When the sun comes up one minute before 6:00 am, it will shine all day long. With a southwesterly wind, we will see warmer temperatures topping out in the mid-80s inland and 80 along the beaches. Humidity will still be on the comfortable side too. Monday will build in clouds, heat, and humidity. A late-day cold front will bring a chance of a spot shower or isolated thunderstorm, no severe weather is expected. Tuesday will be much cooler and comfortable with highs in the 70s with a partly cloudy sky. The sun shines midweek with highs staying in the 70s.
