‘A friend to everyone’: Middletown remembers victim of ‘mysterious’ death
MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — During a press conference Friday morning, Middletown Police said they are still investigating the “suspicious” death of 39-year-old John Edward-Corbett.
Edward-Corbett was found dead Tuesday inside a home on West Main Road. Police said this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
Police said determining the cause of death alongside the medical examiner is their top priority.
Family and friends of Edward-Corbett told ABC 6 they were crushed by the tragic loss of the well-known photographer.
“He was the best,” said friend Katie Chapman. “John took care of his parents while their health is failing… a friend to everyone.”
Another friend added, “His laugh was screechy yet contagious. I’m having a hard time saying everything in the past tense.”
Police urged anyone with information to reach out to their department.
