A Rhode Island escape room turns virtual during pandemic

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WLNE) – If you are looking for something fun and different to do this weekend, an escape room in East Greeniwch is offering virtual games.

The Riddle Room is currently shut down to walk-ins because of the governor’s executive order, but the owner got creative and is now offering two types of virtual games.

One is a virtual scavenger hunt where people have ten minutes to gather as many items as they can in their homes.

Byron Delmonico, Owner of The Riddle Room said, “I’m a member of a couple different business working groups and we utilize Zoom for all these communications so we can still stay connected. So it gave me the idea of utilizing a fun and entertaining way to bring people together in these Zoom games that don’t normally get to experience it and also experience something creative and clever that the Riddle Room has provided.”

Delmonico added, he has been satisfied with how busy business has been since launching the virtual games.

The Riddle Room does offer discounts for birthdays, graduations, and other special occasions.
