A Warming Trend Into Mid-Week

Sunday Night Forecast

Tonight will be a frosty cold night under clear and calm conditions with lows falling into the mid and upper 20s. However, Monday will start another warming trend that will last into the midweek stretch. We’ll see plenty of sunshine Monday with just high clouds filtering the sun for the afternoon and highs reaching 48-51°. Clouds will be gathering Tuesday with rain showers developing in the late afternoon or early evening. Those showers will continue off and on for Wednesday with highs in the mid 50s as ripples of low pressure run up toward Canada along a frontal boundary that will be sitting way back in Ohio and western PA.

It looks like the sun will return for Thursday, but it should remain mild in the low 50s. Beyond that the long range outlook into the weekend will definitely bring colder temperatures, but I have a low level of confidence right now as to whether or not we’ll see showers or if they will be pushed to the south of New England. We’ll be able to resolve this better over the next few days.  Make sure to tune in to our ABC6 newcasts!
