Trial of ex-NFLer Aaron Hernandez resumes after snow delay

FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) _ The murder trial of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez has resumed after a snow delay with more testimony about cellphone records.

Hernandez is charged with the 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd, who was dating the sister of Hernandez’s fiancee.

Returning to the stand Monday is a Sprint employee who testified last week about several text messages and phone calls exchanged between Hernandez and one of his co-defendants. He also testified about calls made to Lloyd from the co-defendant’s phone shortly before he was killed.

Yet another snowstorm dropped several inches on the region, prompting the court to delay Monday’s start for a little over an hour.

There already have been 5 1/2 snow days since jury selection began in the case Jan. 9.
