Abandoned dog finds new home at North Attleborough Police Department

NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — A dog that was abandoned in a crate on the side of the road last month has found his forever home.

North Attleborough police shared a video on their Facebook page Monday of Axel being welcomed as their newest unofficial staff member.

The department awarded Axel to Officer Julie Lowe.

A Pawtucket woman was arrested for abandoning Axel and is facing animal cruelty charges.
