Jabba, the abused and abandoned cat that was found in a park in East Greenwich, has passed away.

Jabba was found in Scalloptown Park on September 11. A witness says she saw the cat get dumped out of a black Toyota. Jabba was found so morbidly obese, at about 26 pounds, that he could barely move. He was covered in feces.

Jabba was taken to the animal hospital and put up for adoption. The East Greenwich Animal Protection League was hosting an adoption event for Jabba on Saturday, but sadly he passed away before that could happen.
