ACI inmate accused of running drug operation while behind bars

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- An inmate at the ACI was arrested on Thursday after allegedly running an amphetamine operation from inside the prison.

The Department of Justice says that 36-year-old Ronald Kramer had been instructing his girlfriend, 36-year-old Rebecca Beauchamp, to run the operation during their phone conversations.

Kramer was doing time after a drunk driving incident back in February. He gave Beauchamp a list of his customers and details about how to get in touch with the supplier, according to prosecutors.

She sold amphetamine a few times. Beauchamp unknowingly sold to some undercover ATF agents.

Police have identified the supplier as 41-year-old Davith Hoy.

The amphetamine selling trio was arrested on Thursday.

The DOJ said that Kramer was charged with conspiracy to possess amphetamines with intent to distribute and possession of amphetamine with intent to distribute.

Beauchamp was charged with conspiracy to possess amphetamines with intent to distribute and possession of amphetamine with intent to distribute.

Hoy was charged with of possession of amphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute, according to a release.
