ACLU raises concerns about Standardized test

A test that would require high school students to pass or at least show improvement before they graduate is being criticized by the ACLU. According to the latest neacap scores, 44 percent of Rhode Island students are at risk of failing the test.Today several groups joined the A-C-L-U in raising concerns that the number is higher for students in urban areas. Commissioner Deborah Gist says, students can still receive a certificate of graduation if they show improvement in testing before the final high stakes test.
