Agnes Paye, Kwity’s Mom, and Family React to Colts Selection
When Kwity Paye was selected number 21 overall by the Indianapolis Colts, the Bishop Hendricken alum fulfilled a lifelong dream.
Making sure his mom, Agnes, never had to work again.
“She’s retired,” he said live on ABC.
Agnes worked three jobs ever since immigrating from war torn West Africa with her sons Komotay and Kwity. She missed her son’s football games because she was working so hard to put Kwity through Bishop Hendricken, a tuition based private school.
Paye famously told his mom, “if you send me to Hendricken, you won’t have to pay for college.”
Now, she enters what she calls “early retirement.”
“She doesn’t have to lift another finger in her life… we’re just to blessed to witness it,” Komotay told ABC6.
