Air Quality Alert in Effect
The Rhode Island Department of Health has issued an air quality alert for Monday afternoon, citing elevated ozone levels.
A hot and humid air mass has settled in over Rhode Island and is expected to push temperatures into the 90s through the end of the week.
The Health Department suggests that Rhode Islanders limit car travel and the use of small engines like lawnmowers.
As a result, all RIPTA services are free today.
