PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) –  The Federal Hill Commerce Association announced Monday that Al Fresco on the Hill will continue through the month of October.

Atwells Avenue will remain closed for dining on Friday and Saturday evenings from 5-11 p.m.

The avenue will be closed in two sections; from Bradford Street to Dean Street and from Dean Street to Lily Street.

The Federal Hill Commerce Association says they will evaluate month to month on the ability to continue this through October.

The usual feast will not take place this year due to COVID-19 restrictions.  In its place, Al Fresco on the Hill will be expanding to include more dining and shopping options with extended dates and hours.

The Association announces, “We will be honoring Italian heritage all weekend with special menu selections, entertainment and shared knowledge. Hours will be Friday 10/9 5-11pm, Saturday 10/10 and Sunday 10/11 11am-11pm, and Monday 10/12 11am -10pm.”

Guests will be required to contact the individual restaurants for reservations or walk up service. Reservations may be made between 5 – 11pm. All guests and restaurants will also be required to follow the states guidelines for masks and distancing.
