Allan Fung tests positive for COVID-19

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) – Cranston Mayor Allan Fung announced that he tested positive for the coronavirus on Monday.

In a tweet, Fung said he tested positive after taking a precautionary COVID-19 test before the swearing-in ceremony of his successor.

Fung said although he tested positive, he is asymptomatic.

Ken Hopkins will be sworn in on Monday evening.
