Police found a 4-foot alligator with its head removed. On March 18th, Westport Police and Animal Control Officer Donna Lambert responded to the area of Briggs Rd. and Christopher Circle where an alligator was reported to be stuck in some trees.

Officers then responded on Tuesday to find a dead alligator with its head removed lying in a wooded area.  Animal Control Officer Lambert did not see any signs of decay and believed the alligator was recently placed there. Massachusetts Environmental Police were also notified.

Police are asking for anyone who has any information related to the case to contact them at 508-636-1122.
