Amazon to open 4-star brick-and-mortar in Providence Place

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Online retail giant Amazon has announced they will be opening up shop in Suite 3145 at the Providence Place Mall.

It’s unclear when the store will open, but it has already posted Job applications for retail associates at $16.50 an hour with benefits.

This Amazon store will be categorized as a four-star location. Amazon 4-star stores will carry items from some of the most purchased categories on the website. Items include devices, kitchen tools, home decor, toys & games, and consumer electronics.

In a statement given to ABC6 by Kelsey Friedrich with Amazon PR, “We’re excited to bring Amazon’s 4-star store to Providence, the first Amazon 4-star location in Rhode Island. Amazon 4-star is a store designed to help customers discover products they will love. It’s a physical store that carries a highly curated selection of products from the top categories across Amazon.com including devices, consumer electronics, toys, games, books, kitchen, home, and more. Every product in the store is rated 4 stars and above by our customers, or is a top seller, or is new and trending on Amazon.com. I don’t have opening date details for you yet, but stay tuned!
