Amber Alert for 4-year-old Massachusetts girl kidnapped by mom canceled
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police said Thursday an Amber Alert for 4-year-old girl who was kidnapped by her non-custodial mother has been canceled.
Police said Cortana Goncalves was found unharmed with her 32-year-old mother, Brandee Arnold, inside of a trailer in Cheshire.
Arnold was taken into custody and transported to Springfield police.

Massachusetts State Police on Thursday issued an Amber Alert for a 4-year-old girl who they say was kidnapped by her non-custodial mother.
Police said the mother, Brandee Arnold, 32, and Cortana Goncalves could be traveling in a gray 2010 Honda Accord with Massachusetts plate 3SCG24.

Arnold is accused of taking Cortana from a family gathering early Thursday morning. They say this is a violation of her custody agreement.
The 32-year-old, police said, previously made suicidal and homicidal comments.
“There is urgent concern for the safety and well-being of the child,” said police.
Cortana was described as a white girl with brown hair. She’s about 3 feet tall and weighs between 30 to 35 pounds. The 4-year-old was last seen wearing an aqua colored “Hello Kitty shirt and striped shorts.
Police said Arnold’s last known location was on the Massachusetts Turnpike in the Blandford just before 9:30 a.m.
Anyone who sees Arnold, Cortana, or the Honda should immediately call 911.
