Another smoke plume looms Tuesday; a shower chance each day this week
After starting off with a pair of summer-like days, June has featured a lot of gloom. Skies remained mostly cloudy on Monday with scattered showers, and temperatures remained on the cool side.
We’re looking at a warmer day on Tuesday. but with a few noteworthy items. First, a smoke plume from wildfires over Quebec and Ontario will move over Southern New England.
An Air Quality Alert is up for the entire area on Tuesday. Take it easy if you suffer from any respiratory ailments.
Secondly, showers and thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon. A few of us will see some downpours through Tuesday evening.
Rain chances will be low Wednesday through Friday and right now may even last into Saturday. No day will be a washout, however.
Temperatures look to return to the 70s this weekend.
Have a great night!
