Armed robbery while China Garden employee was out for delivery

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE): Police are investigating after a woman making a food delivery for China Garden was robbed on Goddard St. around 4 p.m. on Friday, according to Commander Thomas Verdi. 

Qiaoming Zheng, 48, was making a delivery to 53 Goddard St. for China Garden on Chalkstone Avenue. 

Two males went up to her car from the rear of 53 Goddard. The males asked Zheng for change because they only had $100. 

Zheng went back to her car to get the cash and as she was approaching the men, when one lifted his shift up and displayed a silver firearm. One of the men then grabbed a hold of her as the other man grabbed the money, wallet, and her iPhone. 

The men then fled Goddard St. toward Candace St., according to Verdi. 

The first man was described as being a light skinned Hispanic man,  20-25 years of age, with short hair, slightly overweight wearing a dark colored shirt. The second male was described as being a dark skinned Hispanic male, 20-25 years of age, with short dark hair, skinny, and wearing a dark colored shirt. 

Zheng returned to her vehicle to retriever her cash, as she was approaching the males the dark skinned Hispanic male lifted his shirt up and displayed a silver firearm. One of the males then grabbed a hold of her as the other male grabbed her money, wallet, and green IPhone 11.  Both males then fled Goddard St toward Candace St. A description was aired over PPD channel 1. Multiple cars played the area with negative results.

No one has been arrested and police are still investigating. The victim was not injured. About $100 was taken from the victim, according to Verdi.
